A Magical Journey Above Kapadokya
Our week-long holiday in Türkiye was inspired by one primary attraction – a surreal hot air balloon ride over the enchanting landscape of Kapadokya.
Our adventure began in Goreme, where we had pre-booked our excursion via Viator. The evening before our journey, we received confirmation from the touring company. The following morning, we woke up to a crisp, beautiful dawn and were promptly picked up from our hotel at 6am.
Our destination was just outside of Goreme, where our hot air balloon team awaited us with refreshing juice and snacks. As a group of 28, we watched in awe as our hot air balloon inflated, ready to carry us into the sky. The 70-minute ride that followed was nothing short of magical. We soared over the unique ‘fairy chimneys’ of Kapadokya, the breathtaking views stretching for miles around leaving us speechless.
Upon our gentle landing, we were greeted with glasses of local sparkling champagne, a fitting celebration of our unforgettable flight. We bid each other farewell, returning to our hotel to relish the rest of our day.
